Nathan Never embarks on another mission to the Eastern Sector of Old Europe, visiting the renovated regions of Gorizia, Tregeste (Trieste), and New Ljubljana. In this episode, he becomes a fugitive: after a carefully orchestrated provocation and planted evidence, the authorities declare him a dangerous suspect, accused of a crime he did not commit. The public turns against him, while politicians and the media exploit the story to settle scores with the Alfa agency. Behind this attempt to discredit him are a mysterious enemy and an ancient treasure.
