Nathan Never is in Tergeste (Trieste in the future), a centre for counterintelligence activities and the venue of a science fair. He must make contact with a mysterious witness who will reveal a mole hiding within the Security Council. Severe weather conditions and new weapons, for which there is no shortage of buyers, make the task even more difficult. However, nothing goes entirely according to plan, and Nathan Never must adapt to the demanding situation as it unfolds.
