»Neskončne pravice«. Genocid v Gazi in selektivni spomin/odziv mednarodne skupnosti. Omer Bartov
Regular price: 4.00 €

Omer Bartov's text is addressed to those who are shocked by the Palestinian agony in Gaza and cannot accept that the slogan "Never Again" has been with us for more than two years, returning in the tracks of the tanks and the missiles of the planes of the descendants of the victims who created this euphemism for genocide in the first place. As a historian and former Israeli soldier, he warns that "Never Again" is being misused to legitimize disproportionate violence against Palestinians. He argues that Israel perceives any resistance as an existential threat, which leads to excessive reactions and civilian casualties. He also criticizes the West for legitimizing this violence through its support for Israel. In his view, dealing with historical trauma in this way undermines international law and moral authority. He calls for the suffering of all victims to be recognized and for ethical reflection on the memory of past crimes.
